WAKEFIELD SIGNS WITH NORTH ALABAMA
 Southwest
catcher Jordan Wakefield has signed a National Letter of
Intent to continue his education and baseball career at
the University of North Alabama in Florence, Alabama.
“Jordan is very deserving,” said Southwest head baseball
coach Bo Reynolds. “He has worked hard to get where he
is and this is a great opportunity for him to move on to
the next level.”
Wakefield, a sophomore from Collierville High School,
batted .286 as a freshman with seven doubles, 17 runs
batted in, and a team-leading 12 stolen bases. He also
led the team with a .980 fielding average and threw out
more than 30 baserunners attempting to steal.
