SOUTHWEST BASEBALL TEAM OPENS SEASON WEDNESDAY

The Southwest baseball team opens the 2007 season under new head coach Bo Reynolds (pictured at right) on Wednesday, February 7 with a 1 p.m. doubleheader against Coahoma at Tony Gagliano Memorial Field.  Top returning players for the Saluqis this season are shortstop Philip Gibson, third baseman Clay Wright, pitchers Zac LaBarreare and Adam Hampton. The Saluqis open conference play on February 16-17 in Morristown, Tennessee against defending NJCAA national champion Walters State.
