WILLS NAMED TJCCAA PITCHER OF THE WEEK
 Southwest pitcher Darren Wills has been named TJCCAA Pitcher of the Week by
the Tennessee Baseball Report following his solid outing against Hiwassee. Wills, a sophomore right-hander from Toronto, Canada,
struck out nine batters in six innings, allowed three hits and walked none
in the Saluqis’ 11-1 victory.
On the season, Wills has a 5-2 record with a 2.70 earned run average which
ranks ninth in the conference. In 53-1/3 innings, Wills has allowed 51 hits
while striking out 49 batters. He is 4-0 in his last four games with a
microscopic 0.38 ERA including back-to-back shutouts against Roane State and
Columbia State.
