SALUQIS' BASEBALL TEAM
WINS ONE OF THREE AT MOTLOW
 The
Southwest baseball team won one of three games over the
weekend in a TJCCAA series at Motlow State. The Saluqis
lost by identical scores of 9-8 in both Friday's single
game and the first game of Saturday's doubleheader
before winning the series finale 9-3.
Southwest pounded out a total of 45 hits in the three
games, led by Brandon Goodman (pictured at right)
(9 for 14 including four hits in game three), Clay
Wright (6 for 11, home run) Daniel Hill (6 for 13),
Billy Ray Todd (5 for 13), and Matt Nuccio (4 for 9, 2
home runs). Mitch Warren was the winning pitcher in the third game, allowing
five hits in a complete seven inning game.
