BURLESON SIGNS WITH
CRICHTON
Southwest second baseman Preston Burleson, a third-team All-TJCAAA
selection for the Saluqis this spring, has signed a National Letter of
Intent to continue his education and baseball career at Crichton
College.
After sitting out last year, Burleson returned to the Southwest baseball
team in 2006 and was one of the top players on this year’s 33-23 squad.
He was second on the team with a .364 batting average and led the
Saluqis with 44 runs scored, 20 doubles and a school-record 20
hit-by-pitch. Burleson was outstanding in conference play with a .410
batting average with 13 doubles in 29 games.
