SALUQIS SPLIT WITH NORTHWEST TO END REGULAR SEASON |

went 4 for 4 and scored two runs to lead Southwest Tennessee Community
College's baseball team to a 6-4 victory over Northwest Mississippi
Community College in game one of Sunday's doubleheader at Tony Gagliano
Memorial Field. Saluqis' pitcher Corey Kines struck out eight batters
and scattered five hits to earn his fifth win of the season. Southwest
lost the nightcap to Northwest by a score of 2-1, ending the Saluqis'
regular season with a 29-21 overall record.
Next up for Southwest is the TJCCAA/Region 7 tournament, May 3-7 at
Columbia State Community College. |
