RANKED AMONG TJCCAA STATISTICAL LEADERS |
| Several Southwest
baseball players are among the TJCCAA statistical leaders this week.
Corey Kines is ranked in several categories in both hitting and
pitching, including batting average (.398 - ranked 12th), runs batted in
(24 - 11th), doubles (9 - 10th), earned run average (2.34 - 8th), and
strikeouts (33 - 9th). Other Saluqis in the this week's rankings are
Hank Pitts (.390 batting average - 15th), Jacob Barker (26 RBI - 8th, 5
home runs - 10th), 2 triples - 7th), Dusty Harris (5 home runs - 10th),
Patrick Williams (3 triples - 4th, 18 stolen bases - 2nd), Brett
Beckwith (16 stolen bases - 3rd), Kayo Anderson (13 stolen bases - 8th),
Chad Gean (4 wins - 4th), Drew Parr (4 wins - 4th, 3.31 ERA - 13th),
Marshall Mullins (2.70 ERA - 11th), and David McQuilliams (3.73 ERA -
15th, 33 strikeouts - 9th).
SOUTHWEST HOLDS ONTO NUMBER THREE
RANKING
The Southwest baseball team is ranked third in the
TJCCAA by the Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association (www.tbca.org).
Ranked ahead of the Saluqis are Walters State Community College and this
weekend's opponent - Volunteer State. |
