BOLTON PLAYERS SIGN WITH SOUTHWEST
Four players from Bolton High School's District 14AAA championship team have signed letters of intent to play baseball at Southwest Tennessee Community College, Saluqis coach Doug Darnall announced today. Lefthanded pitcher Shane Jackson, a two-time all-district and all-metro performer for Bolton coach Tommy Scarbrough, has a 6-2 record with a 1.26 earned run average and has struck out 55 batters in 50 innings. As a junior, Jackson went 8-1 and led the Shelby Metro area with a 0.48 ERA. Righthander Daniel Baugh, the Wildcats' closer the past two seasons, posts a 2-1 record with a 2.24 ERA and leads the team with four saves. Baugh had a 5-0 record as a junior with a 0.58 ERA and led the Shelby Metro area with six saves. Second baseman Ryan Orr, another all-district selection, is batting .328 with 6 doubles and 19 runs batted in. The fourth signee is righthanded pitcher Brad Tillman, who has been injured this season after going 4-1 with a 1.15 ERA his junior year.
