SOUTHWEST BEGINS FIVE-GAME ROAD TRIP AT NATIONALLY-RANKED
SOUTHEASTERN ILLINOIS
Both the Saluqis and Lady Saluqis play their next five games on the road,
beginning this Tuesday at Southeastern Illinois College in Harrisburg,
Illinois. The men's game will feature two of the nation's top junior college
teams, with Southwest ranked #15 in the National Junior College Athletic
Association's pre-season poll, and Southeastern Illinois ranked fourth. The
women's game should also be a good test for the Lady Saluqis as
Southeastern's women are ranked #12 in the NJCAA. Game times will be 5:30
p.m. for the women, followed by the men at 7:30 p.m.
On Thursday night, Southwest will take on Northwest Mississippi Community
College in Senatobia, Mississippi, followed by another matchup with Coahoma
on Saturday in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Game times for both nights will be
6:00 (women) and 8:00 (men). All three doubleheaders will be broadcast
locally on WUMR FM 91.7.
