SALUQIS SWEEP DYERSBURG

Brian Kizzie scored a career-high 26 points and dished out 11 assists to lead the Saluqis to a 112-107 win over Dyersburg State.  Other top performances came from Antwon Bess, who scored a season-high 25 points, and Zach Bright, who had season highs in both points (20) and rebounds (13).  Also in double figures for Southwest were Albert Jones (14 points, 10 rebounds), and Londrick Nolen (13 points).  The win was the eight straight for the Saluqis, now 13-4 overall and 7-0 in the Tennessee Junior and Community College Athletic Association.

Christhol McClain scored 20 points and Larisha Graves added 19 to lead the Lady Saluqis to a 94-62 victory over Dyersburg State.  The win was the first in conference play for the Southwest women, and improved their overall record to 6-9.  Also in double figures for the Lady Saluqis were Jackie Jackson (14 points) and Tiffany Webb (12 points, 10 rebounds, 6 blocks.)

Southwest travels to St. Catharine (KY) on Saturday afternoon for a matchup with St. Catharine College.  The women's game will begin at 1:00 p.m. (central time), with the men following at approximately 3:00.  Play-by-play for both games can be heard locally on WUMR 91.7 FM.
