SALUQIS WIN TWO GAMES TO EVEN RECORD

The Southwest men's basketball team won two conference games last weekend to improve to 4-4 overall and 2-2 in the Tennessee Junior and Community College Athletic Association. Friday night, the Saluqis defeated Chattanooga State 93-86, and then defeated Motlow State on Saturday afternoon by a score of 80-65.

In Friday's win over Chattanooga State, Londrick Nolen led Southwest with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists. Other Saluqis in double figures were Wayne Parks (18 points), Anthony Holley (11 points), Chris Adams (10 points), and Kevin Dilworth (10 points.)

Nolen, Holley, and Parks also were team leaders in the Saluqis' win over Motlow State on Saturday. Parks was the leading scorer with 14 points, while Nolen added 12 points and five assists, and Holley recorded a double/double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

The Southwest women's team lost both games, dropping its record to 3-4 overall and 1-3 in the TJCCAA. Chattanooga State defeated the Lady Saluqis 71-67, and Motlow State won by an 81-71 margin. Tiffany Webb was the leading scorer in both games with 14 points against Chattanooga State, and 18 points against Motlow State.
