SALUQIS AND LADY SALUQIS AMONG CONFERENCE LEADERS

Several Southwest men's and women's basketball players were among the top performers in the first Region VII report of the 2002-2003 season.  

The highest ranking Saluqis were Albert Jones, who ranks second with a 72.0 field goal percentage, and Londrick Nolen, who is second in blocked shots at 1.9 per game.

Other Saluqis' players listed in the top ten statistically are Brian Kizzie (third in assists at 6.1 per game), Toriano Stokes (fourth in rebounding at 7.8 per game), Kenneth Bohanna (seventh in blocked shots at 1.1 per game), and Tyrone Scott (eighth in three-point field goal percentage at 40.9%).

Julia Cole is the top ranking Lady Saluqis' player, leading the region in rebounding with a 9.6 average.  Candice Holliday ranks second in both scoring (18.1) and two-point field goal percentage (70.3%), and is also fourth in blocked shots (1.7) and seventh in steals (2.9).  Other Southwest players listed are Larisha Graves (sixth in assists at 4.1 per game, and tied for seventh in steals at 2.9 per game), and Tiffany Webb, who is sixth in blocked shots at 1.6
per game.
