LADY SALUQIS DEFEAT SPARTANBURG METHODIST,
LOSE TO GEORGIA PERIMETER IN TOURNAMENT

The Southwest women’s basketball team competed in the Georgia Perimeter Tournament in Decatur, Georgia over the weekend, defeating Spartanburg Methodist 82-72 and losing to Georgia Perimeter 83-68.

In Friday’s opening round game against Georgia Perimeter, Mason led Southwest with 18 points and Jackson added 14. In Saturday’s second round game against Spartanburg Methodist, Kenya Moore (pictured at the right) scored 22 points to lead the Lady Saluqis to an overtime victory. Other players in double figures for Southwest against Spartanburg Methodist were Lakeisha Jackson and Ashley Mason with 15 points each. With the split, the Lady Saluqis overall record currently stands at 6-4.
