SALUQI MEN DEFEAT COLUMBIA STATE
Jarmorrow Moragne scored a season-high 16 points, and
Londrick Nolen added 15 points and a game-high 13 rebounds to lead the
Southwest men to a 92-69 win over Columbia State on Saturday afternoon in
Columbia, Tennessee. The Saluqis shot only 40.2 percent from the field, but
held Columbia State to just 31.3 percent and outrebounded the Chargers by a
56-44 margin. The win improved the Saluqis' record to 19-6 overall and 13-2
in the Tennessee Junior and Community College Athletic Association.
The Lady Saluqis were defeated by Columbia State
85-71, despite an outstanding game by Larisha Graves, who led Southwest with
24 points and seven rebounds. The loss dropped the Southwest women's record
to 10-13 overall and 5-10 in the TJCCAA.
Both the Saluqis and Lady Saluqis return to action
this Saturday against Volunteer State in the final home game of the season.
Tip-off for the women's game is set for 2:00 p.m., followed by the men at
