SOUTHWEST BASKETBALL TEAMS SWEEP SHORTER

Greg Grimes (pictured at right) scored 24 points and Deante Burgess added 21 points and 11 rebounds to lead the 18th-ranked Southwest men's basketball team to a 129-103 win over Shorter College on Monday night at the Verties Sails Gymnasium. 

Also in double figures for Southwest were Donald Boone (17), Nathan Walton (14), James Hooper (13), and A.J. Nance (12).  The win improved the Saluqis' record to 22-4 overall.
 
Tameka Wooten (pictured at left) and Jasmine Massey scored season highs of 17 and 18 points respectively to lead the 15th-ranked Lady Saluqis to a 109-47 victory over Shorter. 

Other double figure scorers for Southwest were Ashley Shields (15), Brittany Smith (15), and Britany Sublett (10).  The win was the 20th in a row for the Southwest women and improved their overall record to 23-1.
