BOONE NAMED NJCAA
ALL-AMERICAN
Southwest
sophomore guard Donald Boone has added first team NJCAA
All-American to his list of honors for the 2006-2007
season.
Boone led the Saluqis to a 28-7 record this season and
an eighth place finish in the NJCAA National Tournament,
where was named to the All-Tournament team. He was voted
by the coaches as Player of the Year in the TJCCAA and
was named Most Valuable Player of the Region VII
Tournament after leading Southwest to its second
straight championship and national tournament
appearance.
Boone led the Saluqis in several statistical categories,
including scoring (17.2), rebounding (6.6), steals
(2.8), and three point percentage (.400) and was also
among team leaders in total field goal percentage
(.535), free throw percentage (.701), and assists (2.8).
He scored a career-high 32 points against Northeastern
in the NJCAA Tournament.
