 KIZZIE NAMED
ALL-AMERICAN
Southwest point guard Brian Kizzie, who led the Saluqis to a 24-8
record, the Region VII championship and the national tournament this
season, has been named second team All-American by the National Junior
College Athletic Association. Kizzie, a sophomore from Kingsbury High
School in Memphis, averaged 11.4 points and 6.8 assists per game, and
shot 80 percent from the free throw line. He was selected first team
all-conference and first team all-West Division by the Tennessee
Junior and Community College Athletic Association, voted conference
Player of the Year, and was the Most Valuable Player of the Region VII
Tournament.
