SOUTHWEST’S LONDRICK NOLEN SIGNS WITH OLE
MISS
Londrick
Nolen, who in three years progressed from a role player on his high school
basketball team to an all-conference performer for Southwest, has signed a
National Letter of Intent to play at the University of Mississippi.
”Londrick is an example of what we do here at Southwest,” said Saluqis’
head coach Verties Sails. “He wasn’t a big name coming out of high
school, but he’s developed into a tremendous all-around player. Londrick
is a versatile player who can play multiple positions. He can defend as
well as fill up the stat sheet.”
As a sophomore, the 6’5” Nolen was named to the Tennessee Junior and
Community College Athletic Association All-Conference and All-West
Division Teams. He led Southwest with 16.9 scoring average and also
dished out the most assists with 115. In addition, Nolen was among the
team leaders in rebounding (7.1 per game), blocked shots (37), steals
(50), and three-point field goal percentage (.388). He scored a
career-high 35 points in the Saluqis’ 85-77 win over 17th-ranked
Jackson State. |
