Coach Verties Sails' men's team is coming off a
94-91 win over Kennedy-King College last Wednesday, and has a 6-7
overall record. The Saluqis are led by sophomore forward Cortez
Stigger, who leads the region and ranks fourth nationally with a 25.3
scoring average.
The Lady Saluqis, coached by Andrea Martre, won
two of three games in the Illinois Central Tournament (Dec. 27-29),
and currently have a 4-9 record.
This will be your last chance to see our teams
at home until January 26, when the Saluqis take on Volunteer State
Community College. Southwest will be on the road the next few weeks, with
games at Cleveland State, Three Rivers (MO), Meridian (MS), and
Dyersburg State.
Students, faculty, and staff are admitted free
