MEN SPLIT TWO GAMES LAST WEEK |
| The Southwest
Tennessee Community College men's basketball team split two road
contests last week, losing
to Three Rivers (MO) Community College 76-65 last
Tuesday night, then defeating Meridian (MS) Community College 98-88 on
Saturday afternoon.
Leading the Saluqis against Meridian were
sophomore forwards Melvin Coleman, who led the team with 19 points,
Cortez Stigger (18 points), and Lou Wright (16 points). Southwest,
down 22 points midway through the first half, trailed 58-50 at the
half. The Saluqis then shot 59 percent in the second half, outscoring
Meridian 48-30 to win the game by a 10-point margin.
