SALUQIS LOSE TO FIFTH-RANKED MERIDIAN |
| In their only game
last week, the Southwest women's basketball team lost to fifth-ranked
Meridian (MS) Community College 92-81. The Lady Saluqis trailed by
only two at the half, 48-46, but were out-rebounded by 15 in the
second half and outscored 44-35.
Five players scored in double figures for
Southwest, led by freshman guard Christy Craig, who scored 18 points
on six three-point
field goals, and also had a career-high nine assists. Sophomore center
Latoshia Bailey added 16 points, 16 rebounds, and seven blocked shots,
and sophomore forward Larica Seals also had a double-double with 10
points and 11 boards.
