SOUTHWEST RETURNS HOME WINNERS
The Southwest Tennessee Community College basketball teams return home on Saturday with a conference matchup with Volunteer State at the Verties Sails Gymnasium on the Union Campus. The women's game will begin at 2 p.m., followed by the men at 4 p.m.

Coach Verties Sails' men's team is coming off a 124-98 win over Dyersburg State on Tuesday night, improving their record to 10-8 overall and 4-3 in TJCCAA play. Sophomore forward Cortez Stigger, the leading scorer in the conference with over 23 points per game, led the Saluqis with 29 points and 12 rebounds against Dyersburg. The win gave coach Sails the 497th win of his career.

The Lady Saluqis, coached by Andrea Martre, defeated Dyersburg State by a score of 64-54 and now have an overall record of 5-12. Leading Southwest in the win was sophomore center Latoshia Bailey, who nearly recorded a triple-double with 18 points, 13 rebounds, and nine blocked shots.

Students, faculty, and staff are admitted free, so come out and support your Saluqis' basketball teams!
