It
was a rough week for the Southwest basketball teams:
the men and women lost three games each last week. In Wadley, Alabama,
the Lady Saluqis lost Tuesday night to Southern Union (AL) College
91-64; while the Saluqi men went into overtime before losing to
Southern
Union 114-102.
Southwest's women lost Friday night to Chattanooga State Community College
71-50, while the men lost there
88-83.
Motlow State defeated the Lady Saluqis Saturday afternoon 69-52,
and the Saluqi men 101-90. The women's
team now has a 1-7 record, while the men are 4-6.
This week, the Southwest men host the Arkansas Angels at 7 p.m. Thursday at
the Verties Sails Gymnasium on the Union Avenue Campus. The Saluqis
travel to Harrisburg, Illinois, Saturday to take on Southeastern
Illinois College, a team that defeated the Saluqis 112-111 on a last
second three-pointer three weeks ago.
The Lady Saluqis return to action December 14-15, when they host the
Lady Saluqi Classic at the Verties
Sails Gymnasium. |
