| SOUTHWEST WOMEN HOST LADY SALUQI CLASSIC |
The Southwest Tennessee
Community College women's basketball team will host the Lady Saluqi
Classic this weekend at the Verties Sails Gymnasium on the Union
Campus. Other participating schools will be Dyersburg State Community
College, Pensacola (FL) Junior College, and Shelton (AL) State
Community College.
Dyersburg State and Pensacola will play the opening game at 6:00 p.m.
on Friday, followed by the Lady Saluqis and Shelton State at 8:00 p.m.
Saturday's schedule will be Dyersburg State vs. Shelton State at 2:00
p.m., with Southwest vs. Pensacola at 4:00 p.m.
The Lady Saluqis are led by center Latoshia Bailey, who leads the team
in scoring (15.6) and rebounding (9.5). Bailey, a 6'2" sophomore
transfer from Texas A & M, ranks sixth in the region in scoring
and third in rebounding.
These will be the last home games until January, so come out and
support your Lady Saluqis!
