SALUQIS LOSE TO 15TH-RANKED JACKSON STATE

The Southwest Tennessee Community College men's basketball team dropped a 109-94 decision to 15th-ranked Jackson State Community College on Thursday night. Playing without leading scorer and rebounder Cortez Stigger, the Saluqis shot an impressive 56 percent from the field, but allowed Jackson State to shoot 54 percent and were outscored 22-6 at the free throw line. Leading the Saluqis in scoring were Larry Wells with 21 points, Lou Wright with 17, and Zachary Bright with 16 points and nine rebounds. The loss dropped the Saluqis to 12-12 overall and 6-7 in the TJCCAA.
