SALUQIS WIN TWO GAMES TO END REGULAR SEASON
The Southwest Tennessee Community College men's basketball team defeated St. Catharine College 102-101on Friday night, then beat Volunteer State 87-72 on Saturday afternoon to end the regular season. The Saluqis now have a 15-12 overall record, and finished as the TJCCAA West Division runnerup with a 9-7 mark.

In the win over St. Catharine, Cortez Stigger hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to give the Saluqis the win. Lou Wright led Southwest with 29 points, while Zachary Bright added 18 points and nine rebounds, and Stigger scored 15 points.

Four Saluqis scored in double figures against Vol State, led by Antwon Bess with 15 points. Southwest outscored Vol State 52-37 in the second half after being tied 35-all at the half.

Both the Saluqis and Lady Saluqis will play in the Region 7 Tournament, March 5-10 at Hiwassee College in Madisonville, Tennessee.
