The Southwest softball team wrapped up its fall season by winning two
out of three games on Friday, October 13 at the Dyersburg State Fall
Play-Day in Dyersburg, Tennessee. After losing the first game 6-0 to
Freed-Hardeman University, the Lady Saluqis came back to defeat
Cumberland University 5-4 and Mid-Continent University 8-1.
In the Cumberland game, Brooke Hively and Jessica Hefflinger walked to
open the game then both scored on a double to left-center field by Caryn
Hubbard. Amanda Harlow drove in Hubbard with another two-base hit and
later scored the Lady Saluqis’ fourth run on an error by the Cumberland
