LADY SALUQIS' SOFTBALL TEAM
DEFEATS COAHOMA, LOSES TO NORTHWEST-SHOALS
The Southwest softball team won two and lost two games
last week, defeating Coahoma on Monday 16-2 and 18-3 and losing to
Northwest-Shoals on Tuesday 6-2 and 5-1. The Lady Saluqis record now
stands at 13-12 overall and 2-2 in the TJCCAA.
In
the sweep of Coahoma, Caryn Hubbard (pictured at left) had
five hits (including a grand slam) and drove in seven runs. She was
also the winning pitcher in game one. Other top hitters on the day
for the Lady Saluqis were Gina High (4 hits, 3 RBI) and Amanda
Harlow (2 hits, triple, 4 RBI). High and Harlow were also the leading
hitters against Northwest-Shoals with three hits each in the two games.
