SALUQIS SOFTBALL SIGNS SIX
Three
softball players from Bolton High School’s 2003 Class AAA state
tournament team have signed on to play at Southwest Tennessee
Community College. The three new players for Southwest are Jennifer
Leggett, Kacie Adams, and Christi Morrison.
Leggett was the catcher for the Bolton High School team. She is a two-time
member of The Commercial Appeal’s ‘Best of the Preps’ team. She
led the Lady Wildcats in hitting with a .359 batting average, and
struck out only seven times in 117 at-bats.
Adams
played first base for the Lady Wildcats. She led Bolton in put-outs
with 273 and had a fielding average of .969,
Morrison
was a right fielder for Bolton. During her last season, she batted
.293 with four doubles and made only one error all season.
The
three players were recently signed to play for Southwest by interim
softball coach Keith Gentry. “These players give us a great start
towards building our 2003-2004 team,” states Gentry. “I’m
pleased at the abilities and talents that these players will bring to
the College and the game.”
