"Daniel is an outstanding talent who is still learning how to pitch. He will be a vital part of the Southwest pitching staff. His fastball topped out at 91 MPH in the fall."

2003: Adams played for coach Dave Anderson at The University of Memphis, where he appeared in seven games as a freshman. He compiled a 1-0 record with a 3.65 earned run average and 12 strikeouts in 12-1/3 innings.

2002: Adams was red-shirted as a freshman at The University of Memphis.

High School: Adams played for coach Rodney Patterson at Bartlett High School. He was also a member of Bartlett’s state championship basketball team.

Summer Ball:
Adams played last summer for Dulin’s Dodgers of the Memphis Stan Musial League. In 2002, he played on Dulin’s AAU National Championship team.

Personal:
Born October 28, 1982, in Memphis, Adams is the son of Byron and Valerie Adams.
