"Tyler worked hard to earn playing time as a freshman. He will
need to be productive with the bat to break the lineup as a
sophomore."
2003: Lee played in 44 games as a freshman, batting .286
with 14 runs scored, two doubles, three runs batted in, and three
stolen bases. He saw considerable playing time as a late-inning
defensive replacement in left field, and was also used as a courtesy
runner.
High School: Lee played for coach Ed Rich at Southaven (MS) High
School, where he batted .330 as a senior with eight doubles, 25 runs
batted in, and 15 stolen bases. He led the Chargers to a 29-5 record,
the district championship, and the second round of the state playoffs
his senior year, and was a member of Southaven’s state championship
teams in 1999 and 2000.
Summer Ball: Lee played for the Rebels of the Memphis Stan Musial
League, and was also played for the Memphis Royals in the NABF World
Series in Louisville, Kentucky.
