2003: Orr was red-shirted as a
freshman at Southwest.
High School: Orr played at Bolton High School under coach Tommy
Scarbrough, leading them to a 24-11 record, the District 14AAA
championship, and Region 7AAA runnerup his senior season. He batted
.339 with 22 runs scored, six doubles, and 20 runs batted in, and led
the team with 27 walks and a .615 on-base average. As a senior, Orr
was named to the all-district team, The Commercial Appeal’s Best of
the Preps team, and was voted tournament MVP of the Jackson North Side
Tournament.
