"Chris is a talented player who can help the team in many ways. He has speed and will hit for average and some power. He is also a fine defensive player, but needs to improve as a baserunner to be a complete player."

2003: Rogers was red-shirted as a freshman at Volunteer State Community College before transferring to Southwest.

High School: Rogers played at Bolton High School under coach Tommy Scarbrough, where he was a two-time All-District 14AAA selection and was named All-Metro his senior year. He batted .329 as a senior with 28 runs scored, 10 doubles, one triple, 17 runs batted in, and led the team with 11 stolen bases. His junior season, Rogers led Bolton with a .352 average, 24 runs scored, 21 RBI, six doubles, two triples, and 23 stolen bases.

Summer Ball:
Rogers played last summer for Dulin’s Dodgers of the Memphis Stan Musial League. In 2002, he played on Dulin’s AAU National Championship team.

Personal:
Born March 8, 1984, in Charleston, South Carolina, Rogers is the son of Gary and Rena Rogers.
