2004:
Meng
appeared in 15 games last spring, including two starts. He compiled a 2-1
record with a 8.13 earned run average and struck out 26 batters in 27-2/3
innings of work.
2003: Meng was red-shirted his freshman year at
the University of Southern Mississippi before transferring to Southwest.
High School:
Meng played for
coach David King at Trinity Episcopal Day School in Natchez, Mississippi. As
a senior, Meng compiled a 3-4 record with a 1.07 earned run average. In 56
innings of work, he struck out 73 batters and walked only 19.
