"Nathan is a semester transfer who is using this opportunity to the best of his ability.  He is able to play second base, shortstop, or third base, and will provide depth at each one.

High School:.Mordecai played for coach Stacy Hester at New Hope High School in Columbus, Mississippi.  As a senior, he batted .402 and was selected all-district, all-area, and was named second team All-State by the Mississippi Association of Coaches.  In 2003, he led New Hope to a 39-5 record and the Class 4A state championship, defeating nationally-ranked Picayune High.  Mordecai also lettered in football, and was all-district three years.

Summer Ball:  Mordecai played for Bryan Packers summer team, coached by Frank Patera, leading them to the Senior Legion State Runner-up. 

Personal:
Born February 20, 1985, in Columbus, Mississippi, Mordecai is the son of Ricky and Diana Mordecai.
