2004:
Tillman
played in 37 games last season, starting 32 at third base. He batted .260
with 16 runs, 26 hits, 3 doubles, 1 triple, and 17 runs batted in. He
ranked second on the team with 67 assists.
2003: Tillman was red-shirted as a freshman at
Southwest.
High School: Tillman played for coach Tommy Scarbrough at Bolton High
School, where he batted .325 as the Wildcats’ leadoff hitter and was named
All-District 14AAA. Unable to pitch his senior season because of an elbow
injury, Tillman was a starter in the infield and helped lead Bolton to a
24-11 record his senior year and the District 14AAA regular season and
tournament championships. Tillman compiled a 4-1 record his junior season
with a 1.15 earned run average and 22 strikeouts in 30-1/3 innings. He was
selected a Who’s Who All-Star in Sports all four years of high school, and
received the Coaches Award as a senior. Tillman posted a 6-1 record with a
2.04 ERA as a freshman and was named all-district.
