played for coach Chris Decker at Greenwood High School in Bowling Green,
Kentucky. As a senior, Turner batted .450 with 13 doubles, 5 home runs and
13 stolen bases. He was named to the all-district team three years and was
selected to the all-star team as a senior. Turner set school records for
stolen bases and doubles and had the fourth highest batting average. Also
an outstanding football player, Turner was first team all-region as a
running back and linebacker.
Personal: Born September 24, 1985, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Turner is
the son of Coy and Lori Hanson. His uncle, Chris Turner, played in the
major leagues for California and the New York Yankees. |
