played for coach Randy Broome at Warren Central High School in Vicksburg,
Mississippi. As a senior, he compiled a 1.71 earned run average with eight
saves, including four in the playoffs. Turner helped lead Warren Central to
a 23-11 record and the South State runner-up in 2004.
