Vincent has been been voted a Team Captain for the 2005 Season.
"Brit was a vital part of last year’s team success. He will be counted on
to be productive in the middle of the Saluqi lineup."
2004: Vincent
was the team’s second leading hitter a year ago, batting .394 with 42 runs
scored, 56 hits, 11 doubles, 2 triples, 3 home runs, 22 runs batted in, a
.563 slugging average, and a .442 on-base average. He played in 36 games
(all starts) and struck out only nine times in 142 at-bats.
High School: Vincent came to Southwest from Bowling Green (KY) High
School, where he played centerfield for coach David Nole. He batted .444 his
senior season with a .671 on-base average. Vincent led Bowling Green to the
district title all four years of high school, and to the region championship
in 2001. He was a two-time all-region selection, and also made the
all-region team in basketball his senior year. An excellent student, Vincent
graduated with honors from Bowling Green High.
Summer Ball: Vincent played for the Kentucky Colonels, coached by Doug
Guelde.
