High School:. Phillip White led Milan High School to a 41-3 record and the Class AA Tennessee State Championship in 2004.  White, a pitcher-infielder at Milan, was named all-district and was selected the West Tennessee Player of the Year by the Jackson Sun and the Class AA State Player of the Year by The Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association.  White batted .434 his senior season with 11 home runs and 46 runs scored and compiled a 7-0 record as a pitcher. He was one of the top hitters in the 2004 state tournament with a .538 batting average, and also hit three home runs in one region tournament game.  His junior year, White led Milan to a 24-13 record and the district championship. batted .411 and led the team in seven offensive categories  A four year starter, he broke school records for most hits in a season and career.  White was coached at Milan High School by Donny Joyner.

Born December 18, 1985, in Gibson County, Tennessee, White is the son of Mark and Tina White.
