played at Cordova High School for former Saluqi player Mike Vanaman, where
he helped lead the Wolves to a 29-10 record his senior season. Gibson
batted .397 and made the all-metro and all-district teams and was named the
District 14AAA Tournament Most Valuable Player.
Summer Ball: Gibson played last summer in the Memphis Stan Musial League
for Dulin’s Dodgers, coached by Sonny Jackson. He was one of the league’s
top hitters with .410 average and was named to the all-league team.
Personal: Born June 3, 1986, in Bedford, Texas, Gibson is the son of
Randy and Diann Gibson.
