2007: Goodman started 30 games as a freshman, including 22 at first
base. He led the Saluqis with a .376 batting average including .433 with
runners in scoring position. In nine appearances on the mound, Goodman
posted a 3-3 record with a 4.47 earned run average and struck out 29 batters
in 46-1/3 innings. His top games were against Hiwassee when he allowed two
hits, no earned runs, and struck out five, and against Roane State when he
struck out a career-high nine batters.
High
School:
Goodman was a four-year letterman for Coach Mark Fulgham at Bolivar Central
High School, where he was named to the all-district team as a senior. In
2006, Goodman posted a 7-2 pitching record with a 1.80 earned run average
and was also one of the team’s top hitters with a .408 average.
Personal: Born September 2, 1986, in Jackson, Tennessee, Goodman is
the son of David and Karen Goodman.
