was red-shirted.
2006: Hampton appeared in 12 games as a freshman including two
starts. In 18-1/3 innings of work he had a 1-1 record and led the team in
pickoffs with four.
High School: Hampton played at Cordova High School, where he was
coached by former Saluqi player Mike Vanaman. As a senior, Hampton compiled
a 4-2 pitching record and helped lead the Wolves to the District 14AAA and
Region 7AAA championships.
Personal: Born December 17, 1986, in Memphis, Hampton is the son of
Bill and Bonita Hampton.
