DANIEL HILL

Position:  Outfield

Class:  Sophomore
Hometown:  Germantown, TN
High School:   Houston


2007:  Hill started all 59 games as a freshman, primarily in centerfield.  He batted .288 and led the Saluqis with eight home runs and 36 runs batted in.  Hill was also second on the team with 10 doubles, 91 total bases, and 10 stolen bases.  He tied for the team-lead with eight multiple RBI games including a two-home run, six-RBI game against Dyersburg State.  In addition, Hill had 13 multiple-hit games including four against Jackson State. 

High School:
  Hill played three years for (former Saluqi player) Lane McCarter at Houston High School.  As a senior, Hill batted .304 and led the team with 11 doubles, seven home runs, and 38 runs batted in.  He was selected to All-District 15AAA and All-Metro teams and made the all-tournament team at the USA Classic.  Also an accomplished golfer, Hill was two-time all-metro and led Houston High to the state runner-up in both his junior and senior seasons.

Personal:
  Born May 24, 1988, in Memphis, Hill is the son of Walter and Jeanie Hill.
