“Cannon is another guy that is beloved by his teammates due to his work habits and commitment to making our program better each day. I trust him in a variety of roles because of his versatility on the mound. He worked exclusively as a reliever his freshman year, but will have a chance to start games this spring. He was voted as a Team Co-Captain by his teammates for this spring, along with his teammates Brayden Green and Chris Swanberg.”

2018: Duke appeared in 15 games (all in relief) as a freshman, posting a 1-2 record with a 6.75 earned run average and 16 strikeouts in 21-1/3 innings. His win came in a conference game against Jackson State (3-2/3 innings, 0 R, 4 K’s) and had other solid outings against Vol State (3 IP, 1 ER, 2 K’s) and Chattanooga State (2-1/3 IP, 1 ER, 1 K).

High School: Duke was a four-year letterman for Coach Eric Quinn at Riverside High School in Parsons, Tennessee. He posted a 1.20 earned run average as a senior and was named to the All-Region team. In addition, he lettered four years in basketball, football and golf.

Summer Ball: Duke played last summer for Coach TJ Lyons and the Licking County Settlers in the Great Lakes Collegiate League.
