2018: Porter played in 37 games as a freshman, batting .152 with 3 doubles, 1 home run, 11 runs batted in and 4 stolen bases. He had three hits against Roane State and two stolen bases against Cleveland State.

High School: Porter played for Coach Lane McCarter at Houston High School in Germantown, Tennessee, where he batted .392 with 16 doubles as a senior and helped lead them to the Region 8AAA and Class AAA Sectional championships and Class AAA State Tournament. He was named All-Metro and played in the Shelby County All-Star Game. As a junior, he hit .430 with 7 doubles and 3 triples.

Summer Ball: Porter played last summer for the River City Cobras in the Show Me Collegiate League.

Personal: Born May 23, 1999 in Memphis, Tennessee, he is the son of Barrone and Nichol Porter.
