Swaney had an outstanding fall, and is highly regarded by the coaches and his teammates. Coming off a freshman year where he played almost every day, we are expecting him to make another jump offensively and be a driving force in the middle of our lineup. He was voted as a Team Co-Captain by his teammates for this spring, along with his teammates Brayden Green and Cannon Duke.”

High School: Swanberg was a four-year starter for Coach Al Stevens at Harding Academy, where he led the Lions to three Division 2A region championships and state tournament appearances. He batted .345 with three home runs as a senior and was named The Commercial Appeal’s Player of the Week. In addition, Swanberg’s honors include three ‘Gold Glove’ awards, all-region all-four years, and The Commercial Appeal’s All-Metro, Tennessee Sports Writers All-State, and Shelby County High School All-Star game participant as a senior.

Summer Ball: Swanberg played last summer for the Great Bend Bat Cats in the Jayhawk Collegiate League.
