Wes Yerty

Freshman  Pitcher
6’4”¬† 195

Briarcrest Christian School

“Wes has tremendous upside as a pitcher in his career. He has good size, and when is going right, he changes speeds well and gets downhill on hitters, making him tough to square up. Once he finds his consistency in his delivery and in his mindset, look for him to make huge jumps in his ability.”

High School: Yerty played two years for Coach Craig Hopkins at Briarcrest Christian School, where he helped lead the Saints to the Division 2 state tournament semifinals in 2017 and 2018. He posted a 19-7 record with a 3.20 earned run average in his career and was named Perfect Game All-American honorable mention in 2017 and 2018.

Summer Ball: Yerty played for Batter’s Box coached by Cory Sumner.

Personal: Born April 13, 1999, in Memphis, Tennessee, he is the son of Leebo and Carrie Yerty.
