Lyisha Allen's Journal
On Friday, we arrived in Nashville a little after 6:30 p.m. We then
checked into the Super 8 Motel. My roommates were Felicia, Nikki B,
and TK. After we settled in, we went to the mall for our scavenger
hunt. My team members for the scavenger hunt were Nikki B, Tamera, and
Shundra. We lost but we still had fun. On the way back to the
hotel we got lost and ended up taking the scenic route. When we
returned to the hotel we ate and talked in Ms. Sabrina's room.
On Saturday morning we learned two dances. The first dance we learned
was rather easy. The second dance was fast. Later that night, we
ate at a restaurant and met Eddie George. We also received
cheerleading medals for participation. After dinner, we rode a horse
and carriage. Then, we walked the streets of downtown Nashville.
We then went back to the hotel and went to sleep.
On Sunday morning we went to church, which was very interesting. I
really enjoyed it. After church we ate lunch and went shopping.
Upon leaving the mall, we exchanged our cheer-sister gifts, then headed back
to Memphis.
The retreat was very nice. I got to know a lot about my fellow
cheerleaders.
