Al Woods enters his third year as Southwest's assistant baseball coach,
and will be working with the Saluqis' infielders and hitters. Woods has
coached in the Memphis Tigers organization for the past 17 years,
helping lead them to the American Amateur Baseball Congress Sandy
Koufax national championship in 1997 and 2002, and the National
Amateur Baseball Federation national championship in 2001. A 1982
graduate of Ridgeway High School in Memphis, Woods was a two-sport
letterman, earning all-district in baseball his senior year. Personal:
